Nicolas Jackson is a transfer target for both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, with Chelsea open to a departure this summer.

Nicolas Jackson has been identified as a key transfer target by both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, according to reports in Spain. The Senegal international’s future at Chelsea is uncertain, with the player being heavily linked with a summer transfer following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro at Stamford Bridge.

Jackson’s recent behaviour on the pitch has raised concerns, with the player being sent off on two occasions in his last five Chelsea appearances. His goal-scoring form has also been inconsistent, with only four goals since the start of 2025, three of which came in the Europa Conference League.

The 24-year-old’s performance in Chelsea’s Club World Cup semi-final against Fluminense was underwhelming and limited, with the Senegal star notably missing a guilt-edged chance when passing to Cole Palmer appeared to be the better option.

Atletico Madrid has “set its sights” on completing a deal for Jackson, while Barcelona is reportedly eyeing a potential loan deal amid their pursuit of a new centre forward. Chelsea values Jackson at roughly €50 million. The Blues are open to a departure this summer as they look to balance the books through a number of player sales.
