Senny Mayulu makes Champions League history in Munich as one of the youngest players to score in a UCL final
Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 to win their first-ever UEFA Champions League title, with Senny Mayulu scoring the fifth and final goal at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
Mayulu’s goal sealed the victory for Luis Enrique’s boys, capping off a special night for the French giants. This magnificent performance showcased PSG’s dominance, leaving Inter Milan struggling to keep up.
Mayulu, an emerging French football talent, plays as a midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain. Born on May 17, 2006, in Le Blanc-Mesnil, France, he is recognized for his technical prowess, ambidexterity, and tactical intelligence on the field.
Mayulu began his football journey at US Saint-Denis before moving to AF Épinay-sur-Seine and eventually joining PSG’s academy in 2018 at the age of 12.
Mayulu’s professional career has been on a rapid rise. He made his debut for PSG on January 7, 2024, in a 9-0 victory over US Revel in the Coupe de France, scoring his first professional goal in the subsequent round against US Orléans. His Ligue 1 debut followed on March 17, 2024, against Montpellier, and he earned his first start on April 6, 2024, in a match against Clermont Foot.
Recognizing his talent, PSG offered Mayulu his first professional contract, tying him down till 2027.
Mayulu’s goal in the Champions League final made him the second-youngest player in history to score in the prestigious tournament.
At 19 years and 14 days, he trails only former Netherlands international Patrick Kluivert, who scored at 18 years and 327 days.
