Mohamed Salah made his first appearance for Turkish side Trabzonspor on Saturday.
The Liverpool legend came off the bench in a 1-1 draw against Kasimpasa in the opening round of the Turkish Super Lig.
Salah entered in the 58th minute, shortly after Adrian Benedyczak had equalised for Kasimpasa from the penalty spot. The 34-year-old had chances to make an immediate impact but could not find a winning goal.
His clearest opportunity came in the 70th minute. After controlling the ball inside the area, Salah lifted his effort over the crossbar. He had earlier produced a dangerous run down the right before cutting inside and crossing for Paul Onuachu, whose header failed to trouble the Kasimpasa goal.
Salah also created a chance from a wide free-kick and sent a volley across goal, but Trabzonspor could not find a second goal after Noah Saviolo had put them ahead before half-time.

The Egyptian is starting a new chapter after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season. He spent eight years at Anfield, scoring 257 goals in 442 appearances and winning two Premier League titles and the Champions League.
After a difficult final season where he was criticised for his performances by pundits and fans, and fell out with manager Arne Slot, Salah announced in March that he would leave Liverpool at the end of last season.
He and the club had agreed to cancel the remaining year left on his contract. He subsequently joined Trabzonspor on a two-year deal worth a reported €17m per season.
Salah’s next opportunity to line up for Trabzonspor could come in Europe, where the club face Ferencvaros in the Europa League qualifying play-off. The first leg is scheduled for Thursday and the return in Hungary on 27 August.
