Club won’t sign another left winger with the England international still at the club
Manchester United are interested in Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye but a move is not currently possible for the club until they sort out the future of Marcus Rashford.
The Everton forward is admired by United, but the club are not willing to bring in another left winger while Rashford remains at Old Trafford.
The current state of things is that United are set to reintegrate Rashford back into the side. The forward returned from a season-long loan at Barcelona, after the Spanish champions chose not to make the move permanent, and has expressed his unwillingness to join any other club other than a top European club outside the Premier League.
The England international received a lucrative offer from Fenerbahce but wants to remain at Old Trafford, only ready to leave if he receives an offer from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain.
Rashford made 49 appearances for Barcelona last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists as the club won La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup. He also featured six times for England at the World Cup, scoring once and registering one assist during their run to a third-place finish.
United have already strengthened their squad this summer by signing Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, but further additions are expected.
Everton are under little pressure to sell Ndiaye, who has become one of David Moyes’s key players since joining from Marseille on a five-year contract in the summer of 2024. The Senegal international has scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 71 appearances for the club.
Ndiaye played for Senegal at the World Cup, where he scored once and supplied two assists in three appearances before the west African side were eliminated by Belgium in the round of 32.
