Serie A champions Inter Milan fought back from two goals down to earn a thrilling 3-3 draw against Bologna in their final game of the season.
Serie A champions Inter Milan wrapped up their title-winning campaign with a dramatic 3-3 draw away to Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, extending their unbeaten run across all competitions to 12 matches.
Although both sides had little left to fight for heading into the contest, the match quickly turned into an entertaining spectacle filled with goals and attacking football.
Inter started brightly, with Federico Dimarco heavily involved in the early exchanges and testing Lukasz Skorupski from distance before eventually breaking the deadlock.
The Italian wing-back produced a superb free-kick midway through the first half, curling the ball into the top corner to hand the champions the lead. However, Bologna responded almost immediately as Federico Bernardeschi reacted quickest inside the box to poke home the equaliser after a loose ball fell kindly into his path.
Both teams continued to create chances in an open contest. Stefan de Vrij saw a looping header land on the roof of the net, while Remo Freuler fired over from close range for Bologna. Jonathan Rowe also threatened for the hosts, striking the side-netting from a difficult angle.
Bologna completed the turnaround before the break when Tommaso Pobega’s volley from the edge of the box took a deflection off Lautaro Martinez and found the back of the net. The hosts then increased their advantage early in the second half after Piotr Zielinski unfortunately turned a dangerous cutback into his own goal.
The Rossoblu looked full of confidence at that stage, and Bernardeschi nearly grabbed a second goal of the evening before Josep Martinez produced a smart save. Inter, though, gradually fought their way back into the contest, with Carlos Augusto forcing Skorupski into another important stop.

The Nerazzurri reduced the deficit shortly after the hour mark through Pio Esposito, who reacted fastest after Andy Diouf’s effort struck the post. Inter’s pressure eventually paid off late on when Diouf finally got his reward, finishing calmly after being played through by Luka Topalovic to secure a thrilling draw for the champions.
While Bologna finished eighth and missed out on European qualification after another disappointing home result, Inter ended their memorable Scudetto-winning season in resilient fashion, once again showing the fighting spirit that helped them reclaim the Serie A crown.
