Mikel Arteta believes Arsenal’s consistency throughout the season has put them in the perfect position to finally end their long wait for a Premier League title.
The Gunners remain in control of the title race heading into the final two matches of the campaign, knowing victories against Burnley and Crystal Palace would guarantee their first league triumph since the famous Invincibles season of 2003/04.
Arsenal could even clinch the title earlier if they defeat Burnley and Manchester City fail to beat Bournemouth, adding even more significance to Monday’s clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta praised the mentality and resilience his players have shown during another demanding title battle, especially after spending much of the season either leading the table or chasing Manchester City closely. The Spaniard pointed to Arsenal’s sustained run at the top as evidence of their consistency, insisting his side are fully focused on finishing the job over the final weeks of the campaign.
Arsenal’s home form also offers encouragement ahead of Burnley’s visit. The North London club have lost their final home league game only once in the last 28 seasons and are unbeaten in the fixture since a defeat to Aston Villa back in 2011.
Despite also preparing for a Champions League final later this month, Arteta remains confident his squad can continue handling the pressure as they chase success on multiple fronts.
Burnley, meanwhile, arrive in North London already relegated, though interim manager Mike Jackson insisted his side are still determined to compete seriously and potentially disrupt Arsenal’s title ambitions.
The Clarets ended a five-game losing run with a surprising draw against Aston Villa last time out, and Jackson believes the opportunity to play such a high-stakes match should motivate his players to deliver another spirited performance.
