Luis Enrique admitted his side were pushed harder than usual but said the performance proved his team possess the balance and mentality required to win major trophies.
The Spaniard described this season’s title triumph as the “sweetest and hardest” of his time in Paris, highlighting the strong challenge posed by Lens throughout the campaign. Unlike last season, when PSG wrapped up the championship with six matches to spare, this year’s race remained competitive until the penultimate round of the season.
Luis Enrique also praised Lens for maintaining consistency and pressure across the campaign, admitting there were several difficult moments where PSG had to respond under real pressure.
PSG will now turn their attention to Sunday’s final league match against Paris FC before preparing for their massive UEFA Champions League final showdown against Arsenal later this month.
