Arsenal host Fulham with a chance to temporarily extend their gap over Manchester City to six points.
Arsenal, who have been in a slump of late, finally got into winning ways last weekend when Eberechi Ezeβs goal vs Newcastle helped them to a 1-0 win. The win was also of huge significance in the title race as Arsenal once again returned to the top and held a three-point advantage over City, who were in FA Cup action that weekend.
Arsenal can increase that lead to six points for the time being if they can beat Fulham in the local derby. Arsenal havenβt been exactly impressive of late, and the 1-1 draw vs Atletico Madrid during the week shows that this squad is yet to return to their groove.
The Gunners will need to dig deep and find a way to get past Fulham, who can smell European spots just a few places away. Fulham are just one point behind 7th-placed Bournemouth, which could guarantee them Conference League qualification.Β

Fulham will need to win their next games as the race for Europe is very intense, but a win this evening could be the beginning of something special.Β
Team News
Arsenal will still be without Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber, who Arteta says are still far from being match-ready. The good news is that Calafiori remains available, while Saka, who has been getting minutes since his return, could start.
Fulham have a few injury worries. Ryan Sessegnon who was the match-winner in their last game, will miss the next two games while Alex Iwobi is suffering from a thigh injury and will not be able to face his former employers. Kevin is also nursing an ankle injury and is a doubt.
