Tottenham Hotspur’s relegation fears deepened after a 95th-minute equaliser from Brighton forced a 2-2 draw.
Tottenham Hotspur’s fight for Premier League survival suffered a devastating setback as Georginio Rutter struck in stoppage time to earn Brighton & Hove Albion a dramatic 2-2 draw.
The result leaves Tottenham without a win in 15 league matches, piling pressure on a side desperate to avoid their first relegation since the 1976/77 season.

Tottenham knew a fast start was essential to lift the home crowd, but they struggled to find rhythm early on, offering little threat in the final third despite the urgency of their situation.
Brighton nearly capitalized when Jack Hinshelwood kept a set-piece alive, forcing Micky van de Ven into a nervy moment as the ball ricocheted dangerously across the goal line. That scare seemed to spark Tottenham into life, and they took the lead before half-time through Pedro Porro, who headed home after a clever chipped pass from Xavi Simons.
The advantage was short-lived, however, as Brighton responded in style. Substitute Kaoru Mitoma produced a stunning volley to level the match, finishing brilliantly from Pascal Groß’ delivery.
Tottenham regained hope when Simons unleashed a powerful strike from the edge of the box, restoring their lead and giving the home side belief they could finally secure a crucial victory. But heartbreak followed deep into stoppage time as Rutter found space in the box to fire home an equaliser, denying Tottenham a vital win and leaving their survival hopes hanging by a thread with just five games remaining.
