Luis Enrique cautions PSG against complacency ahead of their Champions League clash with Liverpool despite holding a 2-0 first-leg advantage.

Luis Enrique has urged PSG to remain fully focused as they prepare to face Liverpool in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final. PSG travel to Anfield holding a commanding 2-0 advantage from the first leg in Paris, where goals from Désiré Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia secured a dominant win.

Despite that comfortable lead, Luis Enrique has warned his players not to underestimate Liverpool, highlighting the unpredictable nature of football and the dangers of complacency in high-stakes matches.

The Spanish coach pointed to Liverpool’s history of dramatic European comebacks as a reason for caution, stressing that even a single early goal could shift the momentum of the tie. While PSG could adopt a more defensive approach to protect their advantage, Luis Enrique made it clear that his side will stick to their attacking philosophy and aim to win the match.

He acknowledged that the game is likely to be tightly contested, regardless of the first-leg scoreline, and emphasised the importance of concentration and attention to detail throughout the 90 minutes.

PSG will also have to contend with the intense atmosphere at Anfield, but Luis Enrique believes his players will use it as motivation as they look to secure a place in the semi-finals.
