Harry Kane praises Vincent Kompany’s impact as Bayern Munich push for Bundesliga glory and a potential historic treble in a dominant 2025 season.

Harry Kane has hailed Vincent Kompany for transforming Bayern Munich into a more complete and dangerous side, as the German giants edge closer to what could become a historic campaign.

Bayern currently sit nine points clear of Borussia Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga table and are firmly on course to retain their domestic crown. Their next test comes against Union Berlin, as they continue their march toward another league title.

Beyond domestic dominance, Bayern’s ambitions stretch across multiple fronts. A German Cup semi-final clash with Bayer Leverkusen and a Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid await in April, putting them in contention for a rare treble, one that would make them the first European men’s side to achieve it three times.

Speaking after another emphatic win over Atalanta, Kane reflected on the team’s tactical growth under Kompany. He emphasized that last season was a learning curve, noting that the Belgian coach was still implementing his ideas during his debut year in charge.

Kane explained that Bayern have now fully adapted to Kompany’s philosophy, with the squad showing a deeper understanding of their roles and playing style. According to the England captain, that evolution has made them a stronger and more cohesive unit compared to the previous campaign.

Despite his long-standing reputation for falling short of major trophies, Kane appears to be embracing the pressure tha t comes with competing on multiple fronts. He acknowledged that while Bayern have impressed so far, the defining period lies ahead in April and May, when titles are ultimately decided.

Statistically, Bayern’s season has been nothing short of extraordinary.

With 93 goals in just 26 league matches, they are closing in on their own Bundesliga record of 101 goals set in the 1971–72 season. Kane himself has netted 30 goals and is chasing Robert Lewandowski’s single-season record, while Michael Olise edges closer to Thomas Müller’s assist record.
