Dutchman extends until 2032; deals with fellow midfielders Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister set to follow
Liverpool have secured the long-term future of Ryan Gravenberch after the midfielder agreed a new contract that will keep him at Anfield for several more years.
The Premier League club confirmed this weekend that the Netherlands international has committed his future to the Reds, signing a six-year deal that will run until the end of the 2031-32 season.
Gravenberch was one of Liverpool’s most important players in their title-winning campaign last season under Arne Slot. His form has dropped in recent months along with the rest of the squad, but Liverpool remain confident the Dutchman is still developing and that his best years lie ahead.
After securing Gravenberch’s future Liverpool will be looking to secure the other key players in their midfield for the long term. Talks are reportedly ongoing with his fellow midfielders Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.
Gravenberch said the decision to extend his stay on Merseyside was straightforward.
“I feel really, really good,” Gravenberch said. “I was really proud to extend my contract at such a big club. So, I’m really happy that I can stay for many more years.
“I felt directly the trust from the club, also from the manager. The decision for me was easy to make. My family is also happy here.
“We are now here almost three years, so I know everything already. I’m happy that I’m here.”
