Notably, he guided Juventus to Champions League qualification in 2025 and secured Europa League qualification with Lazio in 2024. Tudor’s experience and tactical acumen make him an ideal candidate to lead Tottenham in their current predicament.
Tudor’s coaching philosophy focuses on aggressive, high-intensity football with an emphasis on pressing and quick transitions. He typically employs a 3-4-2-1 formation, which has yielded success in his previous roles.
Tottenham’s sporting director Johan Lange praised Tudor’s appointment, saying, “Igor brings clarity, intensity, and experience of stepping into challenging moments and producing impact.”
Tudor Faces Arsenal in First Game in Charge
Tudor’s first game in charge will be the north London derby against Arsenal next Sunday.
He faces a tough task to turn Tottenham’s fortunes around and almost immediately. Tottenham are yet to win a Premier League game in 2026 and with Arsenal as their next game, it’ll be a hard boat to steer.
Tudor will also have to cope with a long injury list as Tottenham have almost a dozen first-team players injured.
We can confirm that Wilson Odobert has sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Wilson will see a specialist next week before undergoing surgery, and will then commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff.

Odobert just joined that list and it’ll be up to Tudor to guide the team and most importantly, pick up their first Premier League win in the coming days.
