Tottenham fans grow increasingly frustrated with Thomas Frank as pressure mounts following another Premier League setback at Burnley.
The relationship between Tottenham Hotspur supporters and head coach Thomas Frank has continued to deteriorate, with fans once again voicing their frustrations after another disappointing Premier League result.
The 2-2 draw away to Burnley has done little to ease concerns, leaving Tottenham uncomfortably close to the relegation picture and Frank firmly under scrutiny.
That result leaves Tottenham just eight points above the drop zone, a position that feels alarming given expectations at the club. While Frank briefly steadied the ship with a midweek victory over Borussia Dortmund, that remains Tottenham’s only win from seven matches played so far in 2026.
Tottenham needed a dramatic late equaliser from Cristian Romero to rescue a point at Turf Moor, papering over cracks rather than resolving them. Despite avoiding defeat, the performance did little to convince supporters that the team is moving in the right direction under the current regime.
Frustration spilled over in the away end as fans repeatedly chanted the name of former manager Mauricio Pochettino, a clear sign of discontent with the present situation. The Argentine remains fondly remembered for leading Tottenham to a Champions League final, a level of achievement that currently feels a distant memory.
Pochettino is now in charge of the United States men’s national team and is unlikely to be available until after the World Cup campaign concludes. However, his name continues to loom large whenever pressure intensifies at Tottenham, highlighting the longing among fans for stability and identity.
Behind the scenes, chief executive Vinai Venkatesham is understood to still be backing Frank, aware that any managerial change would need to be carefully planned. Tottenham are reluctant to make a reactive decision without a clear long-term strategy in place.
Nevertheless, sources suggest Tottenham have begun discreetly exploring potential successors should results continue to slide. Former Barcelona boss Xavi Hernández is among the names believed to have been discussed internally, as Tottenham weigh their options amid growing unrest and uncertainty around Frank’s future.
