Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has slammed his teammates concerning the fouls that led to Rice’s free-kick goals.
After the match, the Real Madrid shot stopper complained about the manner at which his teammates gave away the fouls. According to him, they were cheap fouls and they could have done better.

When asked about the goals, he said they were really good free kicks. The first one was curved around the wall, and he said he could have put more men in the wall. Maybe one or two extra.
For the second goal, he admitted it was extraordinary. The free kick had a lot of pace and swerve. Courtois admitted he didn’t expect Rice to hit it directly at goal. Before he could adjust himself, the ball was already beyond his reach.
He blamed his teammates for a poor performance and also giving away cheap fouls. With three goals conceded, Real Madrid will look to do the impossible and orchestrate a comeback when both teams meet at the Bernabeu next week.
