Borussia Dortmund were held to a 2-2 draw by FK Bodø/Glimt at Westfalenstadion, as the Norwegian side came from behind twice to earn a point and keep their UEFA Champions League hopes alive.

Borussia Dortmund’s UEFA Champions League campaign took a hit as they were held to a 2-2 draw by FK Bodø/Glimt at Westfalenstadion.

The German side had started strongly, but Glimt’s resilience and determination ultimately paid off.

Dortmund had expected to start out on top, given their recent form, but Glimt’s early pressure and chances caught them off guard. Kasper Hogh had two excellent opportunities to put Glimt ahead, but Gregor Kobel was equal to the task, making two crucial saves.

Despite Glimt’s early threat, Dortmund took the lead through Julian Brandt’s lifted finish, following a well-worked move. The hosts continued to push, with Fabio Silva and Jobe Bellingham going close, but Glimt’s defense held firm.

Just before half-time, Glimt leveled the scores through Haitam Aleesami’s header, following a short corner. The away side’s momentum carried into the second half, and they almost took the lead six minutes after the restart.

However, Brandt restored Dortmund’s lead with a tap-in, only for Glimt to equalize once more through Jens Petter Hauge’s well-taken finish. The Norwegian side had come from behind twice, and they held on for a point.

Dortmund had chances to win the game in the dying minutes but were ultimately left to rue missed opportunities. Kobel made a crucial save to prevent Daniel Svensson from scoring an own goal, and the game ended 2-2.

The draw leaves Dortmund outside the top eight, and they will need to beat Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan to progress directly to the last 16.

Glimt, meanwhile, can take heart from their performance, but a point may not be enough to give them a chance at progression.

Glimt will now look to use the final two matchdays as a means to becoming the first Norwegian side to win a UCL main-draw match since the 2007/08 season.
