Tottenham Hotspur’s impressive form continued as they defeated Slavia Prague 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League, securing their third consecutive home win without conceding a goal.

The match got underway with Spurs dominating possession, but Slavia’s goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek made a superb save to deny Richarlison after just 36 seconds. The hosts continued to press, with David Zima blocking Pedro Porro’s shot, and Stanek making further saves to keep Spurs at bay.

However, it was Spurs who struck first, with Cristian Romero’s header from a Porro corner deflecting off Zima and into the net in the 26th minute. The visitors pushed for an equalizer, but Guglielmo Vicario made crucial saves to keep the score intact.

After the break, Spurs doubled their lead through a penalty, awarded after Youssoupha Sanyang’s challenge on Porro. Mohammed Kudus calmly slotted the spot-kick down the middle, and the hosts continued to pile on pressure. Xavi Simons then scored his second goal in as many games to seal a comfortable 3-0 win.

The victory moves Spurs into the top eight of the UEFA Champions League table, with 11 points from six games. Thomas Frank’s side have now recorded back-to-back competitive victories, ending a five-match winless streak.

Spurs’ next challenge is Borussia Dortmund, but they’ll be without Micky van de Ven, who was booked in the win over Slavia Prague and will miss the game.

The win also marked a successful return for Son Heung-min, who was presented to the crowd before the match.
