Cole Palmer scored as Chelsea played out a 2-2 against Brentford at the GTech Community Stadium.
Chelsea travelled away to Brentford for their first game after the international break. The Blues are unbeaten so far this season and they hoped to keep it that way.
Excitingly for Chelsea fans, their star player, Cole Palmer was listed on the team sheet having been out with a groin injury.
Although he didn’t start the game, he had an impact when he was subbed on.
Chelsea fell behind in the first half as Kevin Schade pounced on the counter to give the bees the lead. It seemed like calamity for Chelsea until Cole Palmer joined in the second half.
With barely a few minutes under his belt, the English midfielder equalized, stabbing the ball home from close range. He also had a few chances to give Chelsea the lead but he failed to convert.
Chelsea would later go in front as Caicedo’s shot from close range flew past the crowd and beat Kelleher in goal.
Chelsea tried to defend the result but Brentford made it 2-2 in the dying minutes of the game, denying the Blues all three points and a chance to top the Premier League.
