Tottenham Hotspur saw off West Ham in the London derby with a 3-0.
Tottenham took all three points in the London derby against West Ham as they march into the first game of their UCL campaign.
Returning from the international break, Tottenham needed to bounce back from their shocking loss to Bournemouth.
There were no goals in the first half as both teams struggled to trouble each other’s defense. There was, however, a VAR moment as Tottenham’s goal was ruled out after Romero was judged to have fouled Walker-Peters in the box.
The game went into full flow in the second half. A few minutes after the restart, Tottenham took the lead as Pape Matar Sarr headed in a delightful corner from Xavi Simons.
Things went downhill for the Hammers as Soucek was red-carded for a foul on Palhinha. Tottenham took immediate advantage as Romero floated a pass towards Bergvall who headed it past Hermansen, sitting in no–man’s land.
Spurs added a third through Van de Ven, completing a rout at the London Stadium. Looking at the smiles on Van de Ven and Simons’ face as they were subbed off, this is just the momentum that Tottenham need before beginning their UCL campaign.
