Adrien Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique, confirms that AC Milan was always the top choice for her son’s transfer, as he joins the Rossoneri from Olympique Marseille.

Rabiot joined AC Milan on a permanent transfer from Olympique Marseille on deadline day, reuniting with his former Juventus coach, Massimiliano Allegri. Veronique Rabiot stated that AC Milan was the preferred destination for her son, saying, “Of course, [Milan] has always been the very first choice.”

The Rabiot family arrived in Italy on Thursday morning, with Veronique addressing reporters about her son’s transfer. Rabiot is expected to make his debut on Sunday when the Rossoneri host Bologna at San Siro.

This match will also feature an early reunion between Rabiot and his ex-Marseille teammate Jonathan Rowe.

Rabiot and Rowe previously clashed in the Marseille dressing room in August. The incident was described as “utter chaos,” and both players were listed as available for transfer by the French club. Despite this, Rabiot’s move to Milan seems to have brought a fresh start for the player.
