If any manager has come under fire many times this season, it’s Tottenham’s Manager, Ange Postecoglou.
From his own fans to rival fans, the Australian manager has been subject to criticism over Spurs’ performance this entire season. Tottenham currently sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table and have been largely underwhelming this season.
While they have had a rocky Premier League campaign, their journey in the Europa League is quite different. They have somehow found a way to the Europa League final, which isn’t an easy feat for a team placed 16th in the Premier League.
They have been incredible in the Europa League, and their journey has been nothing short of marvellous. Postecoglou has kept the belief in his team, and everything is looking like it would pay off. When he took over the managerial position, he made a statement saying ‘Usually, in my second season, I win things.’
This is Postecoglou’s second season at the club, and it’s looking like he’s about to make good on his deal. The club is now in the final of a European competition, for the first time since 2021. This is a remarkable feat, especially for Postecoglou, and if he does come through on his word, his quote may just be the biggest thing in club football this season.
