Madueke leaving Chelsea for Arsenal is somewhat disappointing because he’s a player with a lot of potential and could be valuable for Chelsea in the future. Selling him to their direct rivals, Arsenal, is another aspect that bothers many people.

If you’re an Arsenal fan and you’ve been thinking whether buying Madueke is a good thing, well, it is. Apart from the financial aspect, which Chelsea seemed to gain more from, it’s a good move for Arsenal on all fronts.

Finally, Arsenal has a direct substitute for Saka. While Madueke wanted the move due to the large number of signings at Chelsea, especially in forward positions, he may not get as much playing time as he’d hoped with this transfer to Arsenal.

However, he will play a good number of games because Arsenal can now finally give Saka rest during cup matches and also in EPL games in preparation for mid-week UCL fixtures..

Madueke has played most of his games at Chelsea on the right wing, although he dropped down the pecking order with Pedro Neto being the preferred option. With a good number of games under his belt in the Premier League, he is a valuable asset to Arsenal on the left wing. Not only can he start games, but he can also be relied upon as a substitute to change the game.

Madueke Brings Competition on the Left Wing

While Trossard and Martinelli have the left wing covered, Madueke is a very versatile player who can provide competition for them.

In Chelsea, he’s played more recently on the left wing, and his performance against Liverpool in Chelsea’s 3-1 victory is one you can’t forget in a hurry. With his potential to improve and Arteta’s guidance, he can be vital weapon in Arteta’s arsenal.

For Chelsea, they may have gained financially seeing that they sold him for about £50m (they bought him for £29m in 2023), they have lost a potential star player. Madueke’s on the ball ability cannot be taught and it’s something Arsenal can benefit heavily from. If Arteta can develop him, Arsenal may have a gem
