Arsenal fans have been impatient over the past couple of weeks, and that frustration boiled over in the 3-2 loss to Manchester United.

Why are Arsenal fans frustrated? They are tired of being trophyless, and to end that wait, they want to win the Premier League now, but it’s simply impossible.

Arsenal have seen their team finish in second place three times in a row now that they have an almost commanding lead at the top of the Premier League table. Arsenal fans want the league to end as soon as possible.

Arsenal have seen their lead go from 9 points to seven points and now to four points, following the shocking loss to Manchester United yesterday, and fans simply can’t bear the thought of missing out on the trophy again.

This is a “now-or-never” season for Arsenal. After coming close to silverware in three consecutive seasons, this season finally feels like their season. The Gunners have gone all out to recruit players, and they have dominated the Premier League in the process.

Prior to the Manchester United loss, the Gunners had lost only twice in the league this season ( vs Liverpool and Aston Villa), and they were on track to break Chelsea’s 15-goal defensive record.

However, the performances in the past 2 weeks have splashed strains of frustration in the fanbase.

Arsenal have recorded back-to-back draws against Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, and in those moments, Manchester City and Aston Villa dropped points. Arsenal failed to capitalize on the failings on their closest competitors, and their fans have shown that they aren’t happy with these results.

The main relief was that they were still seven points ahead, but things have taken a turn with the boggling loss to Manchester United, and that seven-point lead has been cut to four points.

Arsenal fans are livid, and honestly, it’s quite understandable. If they could’ve had it any other way, they would’ve wanted the league title last month. Arsenal fans are scared that their pattern may return, and they may “bottle” the league.

Should they be scared? Honestly, looking at the teams on their heels, the Gunners can’t afford to slip up.

At the end of the day, there are 15 games to go and 45 points to play for.

With a four-point lead, Arsenal can still win the league, and their fate is still in their hands.
