After winning the FIFA Club World Cup, Chelsea has tasted success at a very high level, but what comes next for the Blues?
Winning is in the Chelsea DNA. You can argue it, but Chelsea are serial winners, especially when the odds are stacked against them. Just like in 2012 against Bayern Munich and in 2021 against Manchester City, where they shocked the world, they have done it again by beating PSG on the biggest stage of club football.
But what comes next for them?

As many would predict, Chelsea should probably be contending for the Premier League title, eyeing a top 4 finish once again and a good outing in the Champions League.
Can Chelsea contend for the Premier League title? I don’t see why not. In a recent interview, Gareth Bale said he doesn’t think they are far away at all.
Last season, they were an inch close to giving Liverpool a run for their money before eventually suffering a dip between December and January. While Maresca may not want to burden the squad with the pressure of challenging for the Premier League, the squad is full of winners. They have just won the Conference League and Club World Cup in the space of two months, and the players currently believe that anything is possible.

The owners are however not in a rush to compete for the title. The feeling around Stamford Bridge is that Maresca is expected to finish in the top four and make a good outing in the Champions League next season.
Winning a domestic trophy like the FA or Carabao cup will boost the feeling in the squad, seeing that the players now have a winning mentality. It also won’t hurt to see the squad compete for the Premier League title.
With their recent success, many eyes will be on Enzo Maresca’s side to see if they can keep up this form domestically and continentally.
