Dušan Vlahović wants a new deal with Juventus, but salary cuts and agent demands complicate negotiations amid interest from Arsenal and others.
Dušan Vlahović is eager to extend his stay at Juventus, but negotiations over a new contract are facing significant hurdles. The Serbian striker is currently set to become a free agent on July 1 if an agreement is not reached.
The forward recently returned from a lengthy injury lay-off and remains keen to continue his career in Turin. Despite his preference to stay, interest from other clubs continues to grow, placing added pressure on both parties to find a solution.
Among the teams monitoring his situation are AC Milan, where he could reunite with former boss Massimiliano Allegri, as well as Arsenal. There is also reported interest from clubs in Spain.
Initial discussions between the player and Juventus have reportedly progressed in a positive direction. However, key details remain unresolved, and another meeting between the parties is scheduled for next week.
Juventus are hopeful of agreeing on a deal that would see Vlahović accept a reduced salary. The proposal being discussed would lower his wages to around €6–7 million per season, down from his current €12 million package including bonuses.
One of the biggest sticking points involves the player’s agent, Darko Ristić. He is believed to be seeking a substantial commission for negotiating the renewal, particularly given he could potentially earn more by facilitating a transfer elsewhere.
Juventus are optimistic that the involvement of the striker’s father, Miloš Vlahović, in upcoming discussions may help bridge the gap and move talks toward a compromise that keeps the striker in Turin.
