Chelsea ran out 2-0 winners against Fulham in the London derby. However, VAR was the center of attraction.
In the first half, Chelsea went behind early after an amazing run from Josh King. The goal was ruled out minutes later after VAR judged that King fouled Chalobah in the passage of play leading to the goal.
Chelsea, who were composed all game, later broke the deadlock nine minutes into extra time after João Pedro converted from a corner kick.
In the second half, it was a tough battle between both sides but once again, VAR stole the show. Having ruled out a Fulham goal in the first half, Chelsea were awarded a penalty in the second half after Ryan Sessegnon was judged to have handled the ball.
Enzo Fernandez stepped up and converted the spot kick, putting Chelsea 2 goals up.
Chelsea were winners but suffered a crucial blow as Liam Delap injured his hamstring in the first half of the game.
