Liverpool’s 26-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League came to a shocking end after a 3-2 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage.

This was their third defeat in the league since the season began and adds to a worrying run of form. Liverpool now has just one win in their last four games across all competitions.

The Reds started strong, with Alexis Mac Allister scoring a beautiful goal from distance in the 14th minute.

But their defense quickly began to fall apart.

Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon equalized in the 23rd minute after Curtis Jones failed to clear the ball properly. Just minutes later, Andy Robertson’s poor header allowed Alex Iwobi to give Fulham the lead.

Virgil van Dijk, usually one of Liverpool’s most reliable players, had a rough day. He was beaten too easily by Rodrigo Muniz, who scored Fulham’s third goal and exposed the weaknesses in Liverpool’s defense.

Van Dijk only won 40% of his duels, the lowest in his Premier League career when facing 10 or more challenges in a game.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot admitted after the match that the team made too many mistakes, especially in the first half. Although Luis Díaz scored a late goal in the 72nd minute to bring hope, Liverpool couldn’t find the equalizer.

Liverpool are still top of the league by 11 points, but this result is a big wake-up call. If they want to win the title, they must fix their defensive problems fast. Fulham, on the other hand, are now up to eighth and pushing for a spot in Europe.
