Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard has agreed to a new contract deal that secures him a significant pay rise, despite speculation about a potential exit from the club.

Leandro Trossard has agreed to a new contract deal with Arsenal that will see him earn a substantial pay rise. The 30-year-old Belgian forward’s new contract doesn’t include an extension, meaning his current deal, which runs until 2027, remains unchanged.

Trossard’s contract discussions with Arsenal have been ongoing since January, and the pay rise reflects his growing importance under Mikel Arteta’s management.

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023 for £27 million and has since become a valuable member of the squad. He has scored 28 goals in 124 appearances for the Gunners, providing consistency and creativity in the team’s challenges for domestic and European honors.

His versatility and ability to play with both feet make him a key option for Arteta, whether starting matches or providing impact from the bench.

The new contract deal is a significant boost for Arsenal, as it ensures Trossard’s future with the club for the next two years. Despite speculation about a potential exit, Trossard’s pay rise suggests he’s committed to the Gunners’ long-term plans. His experience and technical quality will be crucial in the team’s pursuit of silverware this season.

Trossard’s new weekly wages will reportedly climb into six figures, from £90,000, reflecting his value to the team.

With his contract worries settled, Trossard will focus on making an impact for Arsenal this season. He was an unused substitute in the team’s 1-0 win over Manchester United on the opening weekend of the Premier League season and will look to make his presence felt in the upcoming matches, starting with the game against Leeds United this Saturday.
