Forward completed Monday’s training training session without discomfort
Real Madrid are hopeful Trent Alexander-Arnold will be fit to return in time for Wednesday’s Champions League match with Juventus.
If so, it means the defender will also be available to face Barcelona in Sunday’s clásico.
Alexander-Arnold has been sidelined for more than a month with a hamstring injury sustained in September. However, he took part in full training with the squad this week, which raises hopes that he could make the travelling party to Turin.
Club sources told AS that Alexander-Arnold completed most of Monday’s session without discomfort and could be included if he comes through one more session unscathed.
Alonso is expected to make a late call on whether to start him or introduce him from the bench.
Ferland Mendy has also rejoined full training after nearly six months on the sidelines with a serious thigh injury. The France defender is expected to be available against Juventus.
Dani Carvajal and Dean Huijsen are training separately from the main group and remain doubts for the weekend. Carvajal is struggling with muscle fatigue while Huijsen is still short of fitness after his muscle injury.
