Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a fresh enquiry for Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush as they look to strengthen their attack, though a January deal could prove difficult.

Tottenham Hotspur are once again positioning themselves in the race for Manchester City attacker Omar Marmoush, with sources indicating the club is preparing a fresh enquiry to assess City’s stance on a potential move.

Spurs remain active in their search for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new year and are keen to maintain an ambitious approach in the transfer market as they look to add more firepower to their squad.

An earlier attempt to land Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo proved unsuccessful, prompting Tottenham to widen their search as head coach Thomas Frank continues to push for more goal threat in the final third.

Marmoush is not a new name on Spurs’ radar. The club made contact over the Egyptian forward last summer during discussions surrounding Savinho, and sources suggest a similar scenario is now developing once again.

The 25-year-old’s profile is viewed internally as an ideal fit for Tottenham’s attacking needs, with Marmoush offering pace, directness, and end product, qualities the club believes could elevate their frontline.

Currently away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, Marmoush has seen his starting opportunities limited at City this season, and sources indicate that preliminary discussions have begun to explore his situation.

However, those close to Manchester City believe a mid-season deal would be extremely difficult, with the club reluctant to weaken their squad while competing on multiple fronts, especially after investing €70 million to sign Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt just one year ago. While Savinho and Oscar Bobb are viewed as more realistic exit candidates, clarity on Marmoush’s future is expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
