Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a £20 million bid for Ademola Lookman in January, after failing to sign the Atalanta winger in the summer.
Tottenham Hotspur are set to revive their interest in Ademola Lookman, the Nigerian winger who has been making waves in Serie A with Atalanta.
Despite failing to secure his signature in the summer transfer window, the London club is reportedly readying a move for the 27-year-old in January. Lookman’s impressive form and versatility on the wing have caught the attention of several top clubs, and Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is said to be a big fan of the player.
Spurs had identified Lookman as their top target for the summer transfer window, particularly after their pursuit of Savinho from Manchester City stalled. Bayern Munich came close to signing Lookman, submitting a loan offer that Atalanta rejected.
With Eberechi Eze joining Arsenal, Tottenham’s interest in Lookman has only intensified.
According to reports, Lookman will be available for £45 million, a fee that Tottenham would be willing to match.
Lookman’s representatives have been in talks with several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City.
Atalanta’s valuation of Lookman has been reported to be around £45 million, although some sources suggest the club may be willing to negotiate. With Lookman’s contract running until 2026, Atalanta may be open to offers that meet their valuation. If Tottenham can secure his signature, Lookman would be expected to make a move to the Premier League side.
