Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has admitted his team is “desperate” for wins as they face a relegation battle in the Premier League.
Tottenham have gone seven games without a win, leaving them six points above the relegation zone, despite winning three straight Champions League games.
The 2-0 loss to Manchester United on Saturday dealt a significant blow to Tottenham’s hopes of making European football. Frank pointed to the team’s poor league form, noting they’ve won only seven of their 25 Premier League matches this season.

“We are desperate to win games, desperate,” Frank said, focusing on Tuesday’s match against Newcastle United. “Can we go out there and get three points tomorrow… that’s the main focus.”
Tottenham are facing injuries and suspensions, with centre-back Cristian Romero suspended and defender Destiny Udogie ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury. However, defender Djed Spence is back after missing nearly two weeks with a calf injury.

Frank emphasized the need for the team to push together, given their depleted squad. “When you’re down to the bare bones with not many players, not that straightforward, then you need to push together,” he said.
The pressure is mounting on Frank, with some pundits suggesting Tottenham are in a relegation battle. Former Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney weighed in, saying Tottenham are “definitely” in a fight to avoid relegation.
