Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich are nearing a £30m deal for French forward Mathys Tel, with Thomas Frank giving his approval.
Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich are in the final stages of agreeing a £30m deal for Mathys Tel. The forward joined Spurs on loan in January, starting 11 Premier League games and scoring twice. The loan deal, which cost £7.3m, was always intended to be made permanent.
Thomas Frank, who replaced Ange Postecoglou as Spurs manager, has given the deal his thumbs-up. Tel’s signing would be a long-term investment for Spurs, who beat off competition from Manchester United, Chelsea, and Aston Villa in January.
The 18-year-old French forward has shown promise in his time at Spurs, and the club is keen to make him a permanent fixture in the squad. With Frank’s approval, the deal is expected to be finalized soon.
The club is looking to build a strong team capable of competing for major honors, and signing Tel would be a significant step towards achieving that goal.
