Here’s a look at the top 10 most expensive signings and sales in the Bundesliga from the summer transfer window
Every summer transfer window, there is an exodus of talent from every top league, including the Bundesliga. In the same vein, the Bundesliga also attracts some of the biggest names in football.
For the 2025/26 season, here’s a look at the top 10 incomings and outgoings from the Bundesliga.
Top 10 Bundesliga Sales This Summer
This summer, the Bundesliga was raided particularly by the Premier League as big names like Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, and Nick Woltemade left to join Premier League sides.
They also form the top three outgoings as Wirtz and Ekitike joined Liverpool for €125m and €95m respectively.
Despite pressure from Bayern Munich, Woltemade secured a move to Newcastle from Stuttgart for €85m. RB Leipzig also benefited from the Premier League’s spending spree as Benjamin Šeško and Xavi Simons joined Manchester United and Tottenham for €76.5m and €65m.
Having signed twice from Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund sold Jamie Gittens for €56m while Frimpong moved to Liverpool for €40m. The last player in the top 10 to sign for a Premier League team is Mathys Tel as he made a permanent switch to Tottenham for €35m after spending last season on loan at the club.
The last players to complete the top 10 are Enzo Millot and Kingsley Coman, who secured moves to Saudi Arabia, specifically to Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr for fees of €30m and €25m respectively.
Top 10 Bundesliga Signings This Summer
Bayern Munich leads the list as they spent €70m to bring Luis Diaz from Liverpool. Bayer Leverkusen holds second to fourth place on the list as they spent €35m twice and €32m to bring Jarell Quansah (from Liverpool), Malik Tillman (from PSV), and Eliesse Ben Seghir (from Monaco).
In fifth place, we have Jobe Bellingham, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Sunderland for a fee of €30.5m.
Bayer Leverkusen returned to the list as they spent €25m each to bring Loïc Bade and Ezequiel Fernandez from Sevilla and Al-Qadsiah.
RB Leipzig signed Conrad Harder for €24m from Sporting CP, while Borussia Dortmund signed Fabio Silva from Wolverhampton Wanderers for €22.5m.
To close out the top 10 incomings, Eintracht Frankfurt spent €21m each to sign Jonathan Burkardt and Ritsu Doan from local sides Mainz and Freiburg.
