Tottenham manager Thomas Frank condemned supporters who booed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario after his error‑filled first half led to a 2‑1 home defeat to Fulham.

Thomas Frank was blunt after Tottenham’s 2‑1 home loss to Fulham, criticising fans who booed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario during the match.

The Italian keeper’s costly mistake in the first six minutes – a reckless run out that gifted Harry Wilson a goal – sparked the hostile reaction from the North London crowd.

Frank told the media, “I didn’t like that our fans booed at him straight after and a few times he touched the ball. They can’t be true Tottenham fans because everyone supports each other when you’re on the pitch. After, fair enough, boo, no problem. But not during. That’s unacceptable in my opinion.”

Spurs suffered a disastrous start, conceding twice in the opening six minutes, Kenny Tete’s early deflected goal and Wilson’s strike after Vicario’s error.

Despite a second‑half revival, a thunderous strike from Mohammed Kudus on the hour mark wasn’t enough to rescue a point.

The defeat marked Tottenham’s 10th home league loss of 2025, tying their joint‑worst tally in a calendar year with Brentford and Liverpool, who still have fixtures at North London in December.

Frank blamed the unwanted home record for the team’s frantic first‑half pace.

“The game we lost in the first six minutes. We just need to keep working,” Frank said. “We rushed the first half in many ways. In the second half we got much better, created more chances, but couldn’t get the second goal. It was an emotional performance, and that’s quite normal.”

Frank emphasized the need for composure: “We know we badly want to win at home, so when it’s not going your way, it’s hard. That’s why you need to stick to the plan, be cool and not stress. It’s easier said than done.” Tottenham now look ahead to Brentford and Liverpool, hoping to break the unwanted streak.
