Tottenham boss Thomas Frank expressed his satisfaction with the team’s 3-0 win over Doncaster.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank was pleased with his team’s performance in their 3-0 win over Doncaster. “I’m happy with the win, happy with the clean sheet, and very happy we’re in the hat for the next round – that was the aim,” Frank said after the match.
Frank thought the first half was particularly good, with Tottenham starting well and creating chances. “I thought the first half was good. I thought we started well, created chances, up 2-0, and could have scored one or two goals more,” he said.
However, Frank noted that the second half was more disjointed, with Tottenham throwing the ball away too easily and Doncaster doing well to press and cause problems.
“The second half was more disjointed. We threw the ball away too easily, the pressure was not top, and Doncaster did well,” he said. Despite this, Tottenham managed to see out the win and secure a clean sheet.
Frank highlighted the challenge of making the right changes in the team, particularly with a busy schedule ahead. “We needed to make enough changes, but not too many, and try to get them in the right positions,” he said. “That’s the challenge. We all know, as I say all the time, if we’re going to play 60-plus games this season, we need to be really good at nailing that – making the right amount of changes per game.”
Overall, Frank was happy with the win and the team’s performance. “Overall, I’m happy with a convincing win,” he said.
