Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has lost trust in Dominic Solanke due to injury struggles and poor form, and he’s seeking a replacement in the January transfer window.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has reportedly lost faith in Dominic Solanke, citing the striker’s injury struggles and poor form. Solanke, who joined Spurs in August 2024 for a club-record £65 million, has failed to meet expectations due to frequent injuries.

Solanke’s struggles have left Tottenham’s attacking lineup vulnerable, with Richarlison and Mattis Tel also underperforming. The club signed Randal Kolo Muani on loan from PSG, but he’s also faced injury issues.

Frank is seeking a new striker in the January transfer window, despite the challenges of finding a suitable replacement mid-season. The manager will need to maximize the current squad amid injuries and poor form.

Solanke’s position is no longer certain under Frank’s system, and it’s unclear if he can regain trust. The striker’s £65 million transfer fee is under scrutiny, given his limited impact.

Tottenham’s attacking instability is a concern, with Son Heung-min’s departure to LAFC last August leaving a significant gap. Frank needs a reliable striker to bolster the team.

The January market is always challenging, but Frank is determined to address Tottenham’s attacking woes.
