Forward will face Tottenham with the Cherries on Wednesday before sealing his move to the Etihad on Thursday

Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo is due for a medical on Thursday to complete his move to Manchester City.

Formal steps are ongoing and City will pay Semenyo’s £65m release clause before it expires on Friday. The player has agreed terms in principle with the blue side of Manchester.

Bournemouth play Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night and it is understood the Ghanaian will feature in that game before sealing his move to the Etihad the following day. Cherries’ boss Andoni Iraola confirmed on Tuesday that the Spurs game was likely to be Semenyo’s last for the club.

Semenyo was on the radar of several top Premier League sides, with Liverpool and Manchester United both having shown interest before the forward chose City. Pep Guardiola’s side are also targeting at least another signing this January, a defender, after injuries to Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias.

Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is thought to be high on their wanted list.
