Arsenal started their preseason with a win over AC Milan in Singapore as Bukayo Saka scored the only goal in the game. Saka scored a goal in the 53rd minute to secure the win for the Gunners.
Arsenal were head and shoulders above AC Milan in the preseason fixture, and they saw out a deserved win. The Gunners were firing on all cylinders from start to finish. They had 23 shots in the game, with 9 of those shots on target. AC Milan managed to get a total of 3 shots, and only one shot was on target.
Arsenal fought to put the ball in the back of the net, but the Milan defense wouldn’t budge. Eventually, in the 53rd minute, Arsenal went ahead after a swerving cross from Jakob Kiwior found Bukayo Saka who was unmarked. Saka tapped the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net.
In the second half, Arsenal were unable to add to their lead as substitute keeper Lorenzo Torriani was equal to the task in front of him. He made four crucial saves to keep the score at 1-0. He also made 3 crucial saves in the penalty shootout after the game. Arsenal lost the penalty shootout 5-6.
