The Brazilian winger took to social media to deny reports of unrest and a possible summer move, saying he’s focused on returning to the pitch soon
Real Madrid winger Rodrygo Goes has publicly dismissed speculation over his future at Real Madrid, calling recent reports “made up” as questions swirl around his reduced involvement in the squad.
In a pointed message posted to both his Instagram story and X, the 24-year-old addressed fans directly after missing Sunday’s clásico due to illness and being substituted at halftime during the Copa del Rey final.
“Thanks for all the messages and concerns. I’ll be back soon. Stop making things up,” he wrote in Spanish, alongside an image of himself undergoing muscle recovery.
Rodrygo’s statement comes after recent rumours in the Spanish media about his future at the club. Rodrygo was notably absent from the squad for the 4-3 defeat to Barcelona at Montjuic and has recently seen his minutes decrease in important matches, fuelling speculation that he might be open to a move elsewhere this summer.
The Brazilian has played over 3000 minutes this season, scoring 13 goals and contributing 10 assists. This falls only slightly short of last season’s numbers, when he had 18 goals and nine assists (with about 400 minutes more played).
With three league games and the Club World Cup still remaining, Rodrygo has time to bolster his stats.
