Talks between the player’s representatives and the club are planned in the coming weeks to assess options for him
Real Madrid’s Reinier Jesus will return to training with Castilla this week as discussions continue over his future at the club.
The Brazilian midfielder joined Madrid in 2020 for €30m but has spent that time on loan at different clubs.
He is now back in the Spanish capital, with the club open to options that would allow him to move on permanently. Madrid have even considered terminating his contract so he can leave on a free transfer and seek opportunities elsewhere.
Reinier has yet to make a competitive appearance for Madrid’s senior side and has been loaned out four times in the past five years – to Borussia Dortmund, Girona, Frosinone, and most recently Granada, where he made 25 appearances last season and contributed four assists.
Talks between the player’s representatives and the club are planned in the coming weeks to assess options for him, including another loan or a permanent transfer. Reinier has drawn interest from clubs in Brazil, including Flamengo, where he made his professional debut in 2019.
A product of Flamengo’s academy, the midfielder was once regarded as one of Brazil’s top young talents and attracted attention from multiple European clubs, including Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, before opting for Real Madrid in January 2020.
