PSG sets a new record with nine players nominated for the Ballon d’Or, surpassing Real Madrid’s previous record in 2018.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has made a significant statement with the release of the Ballon d’Or nominees, setting a new record for the most players from a single team to be nominated for the prestigious award.

A total of nine PSG players have been named in the top 30, including Donnarumma, Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Joâo Neves, Fabian Ruiz, Doué, Kvara, and Dembélé. This impressive representation showcases the team’s exceptional performance over the past season.

PSG’s record-breaking nominations surpass the previous record held by Real Madrid, who had eight players nominated during their historic 2018 campaign. PSG were dominant in the past season and the nine nominations proves that. Almost their entire starting 11 made it to the list.

The Ballon d’Or ceremony will be a highly anticipated event, and PSG’s players especially Dembélé, Hakimi and Nuno Mendes look like they have a shot at taking it home.
