PSG Crush Inter Miami 4-0 to Reach Club World Cup Quarter-finals

Paris Saint-Germain dominates Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-0 in the Club World Cup, reaching the quarterfinals with a convincing display of quality and organization.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) dominated Inter Miami 4-0 in their Club World Cup round-of-16 match, showcasing their superior quality and reaching the quarter-finals.

Despite the presence of Lionel Messi, the Major League Soccer side struggled to contain the European champions, who scored four goals in the first half.

Joao Neves scored twice for PSG, while Achraf Hakimi and a Tomas Aviles own goal sealed the win. The match was played in front of a massive crowd of 66,000 fans, who chanted Messi’s name throughout the game. Despite his team’s struggles, Messi showed flashes of brilliance, but it was PSG’s organized and disciplined play that ultimately secured their victory.

The game began with PSG dominating possession and creating scoring opportunities. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola threatened the Inter Miami defense, but goalkeeper Oscar Ustari made crucial saves to deny them.

However, PSG’s persistence paid off when Joao Neves headed in a free-kick from Vitinha after six minutes. The lead was doubled in a matter of minutes after Neves tapped in his second goal after a swift counter-attack.

Inter Miami’s struggles continued and PSG sealed their victory before halftime with two more goals , one from an Aviles own goal and another from Hakimi, who fired home a rebound after his initial shot hit the crossbar. Messi, who was largely contained by PSG’s defense, lost his cool towards the end of the game, swiping at Vitinha in frustration.

With this win, PSG advances to the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup and with predictions about them being favourites to win it, you can’t put it past them to go all the way.
