Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou expressed satisfaction following his team’s 3-1 victory over Bodø/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League semi-final first leg.

The match started with a historic moment as Brennan Johnson netted the fastest goal in Europa League semi-final history, scoring just 38 seconds into the game.

James Maddison and Dominic Solanke further extended Spurs’ lead before Ulrik Saltnes pulled one back for the Norwegian side.

Postecoglou praised his team’s attacking prowess and resilience, stating, “The early goal set the tone, and the lads maintained pressure throughout.

It’s a solid foundation for the second leg.” He also spoke on Solanke’s mentality, especially after converting a crucial penalty.

Looking ahead, Postecoglou remains cautious about the return fixture in Norway, acknowledging the challenges of playing on an artificial pitch and in colder conditions.

“We respect Bodø/Glimt’s home record and the unique environment. Preparation and focus will be key,” he noted.
