Former Chelsea star Oscar believes Estevao Willian has joined one of the best teams in Europe, but stresses the teenager will need time to adapt to the Chelsea way of playing.
Estevao Willian, the 18-year-old Brazilian winger, has been making waves at Chelsea since his arrival in the summer.
Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti has praised the teenager for his start at Chelsea, and his impressive performances have earned him comparisons to Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior.
Oscar, a former Chelsea star, believes Estevao has joined one of the best teams in Europe, but stresses that the youngster will need time to adapt.
“He’s good,” Oscar said of Estevao. “He has the dribbling, he likes to score goals, and he has a lot of talent.” Despite these praises, Oscar acknowledges that the teenager will face challenges in adapting to the Chelsea way of playing. “Need to give him time to adapt in Europe,” Oscar said. “It’s not easy to arrive there.”
Estevao has been impressive in his start to life at Stamford Bridge, starting four of Chelsea’s opening six league games. He has already become a fan favorite, with his fearless playing style and ability to get fans off their seats. However, there is still plenty for him to improve on in his game.
“I think he goes to one of the best teams in Europe, so let’s see what happens in the next two to three years,” Oscar said. With the right guidance and support, Estevao has the potential to develop into a top-class player.
