Oleksandr Zinchenko’s future at Arsenal is uncertain, with the club considering selling the Ukrainian defender next summer when his contract expires.

Oleksandr Zinchenko’s time at Arsenal may be coming to an end, with the club considering selling the Ukrainian defender for nothing next summer when his contract expires.

The 28-year-old has been with the Gunners since 2022, but his value has significantly decreased due to his limited contract and declining performances.

Zinchenko has played 91 games for Arsenal, scoring three goals and providing five assists.

However, he no longer has the same impact he had when he first joined the club. Manager Mikel Arteta has experimented with him in midfield, but with the club well-stocked in the middle of the park and at the back, Zinchenko’s role is uncertain.

Arsenal may consider selling Zinchenko this summer if a decent offer arrives. However, suitors may prefer to wait until next summer to sign him for free. Recouping half of the £30 million they signed him for seems unlikely, but the club won’t hesitate to cash in if the right offer comes in.

Zinchenko’s presence in the dressing room is significant, and his teammates appreciate his humor and personality. Gabriel Martinelli and Jorginho have praised him as the funniest player at the club and suggested he would make a great pundit. However, his defensive performances have been a concern, and parting ways may be the best option for both parties.

Zinchenko’s talents on the ball are undeniable, but defensively, he has struggled. Teams have targeted his side with diagonal switches and quick counter-attacks, exposing his vulnerabilities.

As the summer transfer window winds down, Arsenal’s priorities will be to strengthen their squad and balance their finances. Zinchenko’s situation will be a key factor in their decision-making process, and it will be interesting to see how his career unfolds.
