Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has returned to full training ahead of the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal are gearing up for a crucial north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, and they’ve received a timely boost with captain Martin Odegaard back in full training.
The Norwegian skipper has been out of action for almost seven weeks due to a medial collateral ligament knee injury, but he’s looking to make a return to the squad.
Although Odegaard is a key player for the Gunners, they have managed to maintain their unbeaten streak in the last 11 games.
Odegaard’s return will undoubtedly give Mikel Arteta a few options to consider, especially with Eberechi Eze likely to start in the number 10 role.
The 26-year-old has had a tough season with injuries, including two shoulder incidents and the knee injury that sidelined him against West Ham United. However, his return to action is a good boost for Arsenal.
Gabriel Jesus has also returned to full training, but his participation in the derby is doubtful. The Brazilian has been out of action for 11 months with a serious knee injury, and although he has returned to training, he isn’t expected to return to action till December.
