Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson is reportedly unhappy at Bayern Munich after being limited to just seven starts this season, with a return to London looking inevitable.
Since arriving at the Allianz Arena on loan from Chelsea last summer, Nicolas Jackson has found it difficult to break into the starting XI. While he was brought in to provide tactical flexibility and pace to the frontline, the 24-year-old has been restricted to just seven starts in 22 appearances across all competitions.
In Bayern Munich’s last five fixtures, Jackson has spent the vast majority of his time on the bench, managing only 28 minutes of action across two brief cameos. According to reports, Jackson is no longer hiding his disappointment. His frustration is reportedly noticeable within the squad during training sessions and on matchdays.

The internal friction suggests that the experimental loan move has reached a bit of a dead end. At 24, Jackson is at a stage in his career where consistent minutes are vital for his development and his standing in the Senegal national team.
Being used as a late-game insurance policy rather than a primary attacking weapon wasn’t the “next step” he envisioned when he traded the Premier League for the Bundesliga.
With the relationship reportedly cooling, all signs point toward a return to London once the season concludes. There is a full expectation that Jackson will head back to Chelsea at the end of his loan spell, leaving Bayern to look for a more permanent solution for their bench depth. Whether he can reintegrate into the Chelsea squad or seek a fresh start elsewhere will likely be the next big chapter in his career.
