The Netherlands sealed their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a comfortable 4-0 win over Lithuania in Amsterdam.

The Netherlands secured their 2026 World Cup spot with a 4-0 win over Lithuania. The hosts took their time to break the deadlock, but once they did, the goals kept coming.

Tijjani Reijnders scored the opener, beating the Lithuanian goalkeeper with a clever finish. The Netherlands continued to press, with Donyell Malen and Virgil Van Dijk creating chances, but the lead remained 1-0 at halftime.

The second half was a different story, with the Netherlands dominating possession and creating wave after wave of attacks. Cody Gakpo scored a penalty, awarded after a VAR check, and Xavi Simons followed up with a brilliant finish. Malen sealed the win with a solo goal.

The Lithuanian team struggled to cope with the pace and skill of the Dutch, and the result was a comfortable win for Ronald Koeman’s side.

The Netherlands’ win marks their second consecutive World Cup qualification, and they’ll be looking to make a strong impression in North America next summer.
