Napoli suffered a big blow in their title defense as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Parma at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, marking their third consecutive stalemate.

Antonio Conte watched the game from the stands as he was serving a two-match ban for insulting match officials during the 2-2 draw between Napoli and Inter Milan.

Scott McTominay had a first-half goal disallowed after a VAR review showed teammate Pasquale Mazzocchi was offside in the build-up.

Napoli continued to push for a goal, but Parma’s defense held firm, with goalkeeper Filippo Rinaldi making several impressive saves, including a point-blank header from Alessandro Buongiorno.

Rinaldi, making his Serie A debut, was instrumental in Parma’s defensive efforts, also keeping out Rasmus Hojlund’s shot. Napoli’s chances continued to be thwarted, with McTominay and Noa Lang having shots blocked in the second half.

Despite dominating possession, Napoli struggled to break down Parma’s rigid defense. Amir Rrahmani’s late shot went over the crossbar, and the team couldn’t find a way past Rinaldi and the Parma backline.

Napoli remains third in the standings, three points behind leaders Inter Milan.
